Dr. Laureen Hall, DVM

I have always had a love for animals and when I had the opportunity to be involved in Sheep, Horse and Beef projects in 4-H I was hooked. When I was 12 years old I set the goal of becoming a Veterinarian. I accomplished that goal in 2002 when I graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. Since then I have worked in both mixed animal and small animal clinics and have worked with some amazing people and animals. I have also had the opportunity to teach at Olds College in their Animal Health Technology program which I really enjoyed.

I have a wonderful, supportive husband (Kevin) and two very outgoing children (Justin and Alyssa). In the summer we enjoy camping when we get the opportunity. In the fall/winter we will be spending our time at the hockey arena and the dance studio. While my free time is limited I do enjoy hunting down a good sale, as much as the next gal.

We lost our dog, Mick, to bone cancer at 13 years of age the summer of 2010. In January of 2011 we lost our cat, Raz, at 13 years of age to cancer of the spleen. I was without a pet for the first time since I could remember. Although I was able to see and care for the wonderful pets that come to visit me at the clinic, I definitely felt the void of not having a pet of my own. We recently added to our family a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever named Kipper, he is as outgoing as my kids. Playing his days away at the clinic and enjoying the social atmosphere. Though he does not replace our previous pets he has helped to fill the void. I am lucky enough to be able to take him to work with me. Kipper and I are looking forward to a new challenge in trying agility together, later this year.

I love to learn and take part in as many continuing education oppportunities as I can in order to continue to grow as a Veterinarian.
